The Rotary Club of Marietta crew as they celebrate creating lunch for more than 100 peoplle

The Rotary Club of Marietta had a hefty lunch bill in August - not for the club's lunch but for the six serving trays of the day’s main entree for MUST Ministries, Italian Hamburger Casserole. By 9:40 a.m., a 30-gallon pot of water for the pasta was getting really hot. Chef Harold browned the beef on the grill and Adam, while Marlys Williams and Dale Covington opened cans of tropical fruit and tomato sauce. Once the noodles and beef were done, activity in the room kicked-up a notch as Morgan Robertson and everyone else at hand assembled . Before long, Past-President Tom Downs, Dr. Lewis Lipsius and Don Barbour arrived to help followed by the best food servers on the planet, Dr. John Knox, Ralph Knight and Doug Haynie. Altogether, 105 diners at MUST enjoyed the best Italian fare this side of Bel Paese.

Recently the Vinings Cumberland Rotary Club met at the Cobb headquarters of MUST Ministries and packaged over 1000 lunch meals for MUST to give out to children during the summer programs. The meal packaging event was led by Cobb MUST DIrector and Rotarian Ron Sumpter and the club's President Donna Drakes.
