| Each member of Walton Interact completes at least 5 hours of community service each semester, or 10 hours during the year. Many members do much more than the 5 hour minimum.
With over 100 members, that's more than 1,000 hours of community service each year. |
Interact activites this year include:
- Raising money for the Red Cross and the September 11 fund
- Baby sitting at Cobb Family Resources while parents take classes to better themselves
- Preparing Holiday baskets for Cobb Family Resources participants
- Cleaning and preparing dinner for families of critically inll children at the Ronald McDonald House
- Tutoring childern in the Mt.Bethel Elementary after school program
- Packing food boxes for Feed The Hungry
- Selling donuts and lolly pops at Walton to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay
- Help set up a Halloween Party for childern with juvenile diabetes at Studio Two, and entertained the children at the party
- Visiting residents at Sunrise Assisted Living
- Collecting food for The Red Cross canned food drive
- Assisted in hosting high school teams from throughout the country for the Academic Bowl Invitational held at Walton
- Won 2nd place in the Walton Homecoming Parade with their float designed by Steve Jezerinac
